Abstract

This practitioner report presents a resilient hybrid-cloud backup and disaster-recovery architecture for enterprise workloads. It describes layered protection across on-premises infrastructure, cloud workloads, immutable retention, secondary copies, recovery testing, and operational runbooks. The report focuses on aligning backup operations with recovery-time and recovery-point objectives, validating dependencies, and improving readiness for ransomware, infrastructure failure, and accidental deletion. It is intended as an implementation-oriented reference for infrastructure, backup, and disaster-recovery administrators.
